About JIVA Asramam

JIVA, or Jeeyar Integrated Vedic Academy, was established in 2008 to protect and promote Vedic literature and values. JIVA was established to commemorate HH Srimannarayana Pedda Jeeyar Swamiji’s centennial celebrations. Covering an area of 53 acres, JIVA contains not only a Ve:dic Gurukulam, but also computer labs, JIMS hospitals, a go:sa:la, Ne:thra Vidya:laya (school for visually challenged), and even we have a Homeopathic Degree College now.

JIVA is working towards demonstrating and applying our Vedic wisdom and practices through a modern context so that it is applicable to one and all. Research projects are being planned to relate modern science with Vedic principles thereby showcasing our ancient knowledge as the foundation for most of today’s inventions and discoveries.

To commemorate Bhagavad Ra:ma:nuja:cha:rya’s millenial appearance a new structure at the height of 216 feet called Statue of Equality will be constructed by 2018. The unveiling of this august monument will make JIVA a center for spiritual preservation and learning. It will be an iconic memorial in honour of the greatest acharya in our lineage.

  • His Holiness Sri Sri Sri Tridandi Srimannarayana Ramanuja Chinna Jeeyar Swamy started a go:sala or cowshed, to preserve all the existing indigenous breeds in 2008-09 with 4 cows and 4 calves at JIVA campus
  • In 2009 as part of Jeeyar Sathabdi Mahotsavam, commemorating 100 years of Sri Sri Sri Tridandi Srimannarayana Ramanuja Jeeyar Swamy, 20 cows belonging to Shahiwal, Haryana White, Red Sindhi, and Kankrej breeds were brought from Haryana state to the asramam.
  • Over the later years we received Ongole, Deoni, Punganuru, Gir and Natu (Country Cows native to Andhra Pradesh area) breeds cows through Go:da:nas performed by devotees
  • The go:sala is in the midst of producing cow by-products such as shampoos, soaps, creams, etc.
  • The asramam performs Go:puja every day and sponsorship for supporting cows is available to all

  • Yadagirigutta is the famous and historic abode of Lord Narasimha Swami located on a hillock.
  • The temple is about 60 km or approximately 38 miles from Hyderabad.
