Mandasa

With the mangalasasanams of Sri Sri Sri HH Chinna Jeeyar Swamiji and under the divine direction of Sri Ahobila Jeeyar Swamiji and Sri Devanattha Jeeyar Swamiji, 8th Mandasa Bramhothsavams were conducted in a grand manner. The main priest Sriman Kurma Swamy put in lot of efforts along with the villagers and made the event a memorable one. Print and electronic media covered the whole event. The mangalavadyams (instrumental music) were a delight to the ears. Sri Vasudeva seva samithi members, Sri Patthangul (carriers of Lord’s vehicle) , Sri Ramanuja Yuvatha committee, Sri Andal Goshti, Srimannarayana Yuvatha committee rendered their services making the event an unforgettable one.

The Vasudeva Perumal allured everyone with His beauty, charm, elegance and compassion all the seven days taking the devotees on a ride to paramapadam. The devotees’ senses and manas were arrested with the devotional atmosphere,  flower decorations, twinkling lights, sweet smelling incense sticks,  music, vedic chantings and tasty prasadams. Below is a brief of events which were conducted from 15th Feb to 22nd Feb.

15th Feb :  Abhishekam, Special alankarams, archana, vadamala offering to Kshethra palaka – Anjaneya Swamy

16th Feb :  Snapanam to Sri Vasudeva Perumal by Sri HH Ahobila Jeeyar Swamiji.Special alankara to Sudarsana perumal. Evening – Vishvaksena aradhana, ankuraropana, mruthasangraham, ruthvikvaruna programs were conducted. On this occasion HH Ahobila Jeeyar Swamiji gave a discourse. The program was concluded with thirttha and prasada goshti.

17th Feb Morning : Chathustthana archana in yagasala, agni pratishtta and dwaja:rohana rituals were conducted in the morning.Later, Lord Rama Vasudeva was taken in a procession on Hanumad vahanam.On the main stage, the lord was seated on the main stage and Sri Rama ashtotthara puja was performed by the devotees.

17th Feb Evening: Lord was taken in a grand procession on Sesha Vahana under the aegis of Sri Ahobila Jeeyar Swamiji.

18th Feb Morning: The Lord was taken on Kalpa Vruksha Vahana. HH Devanattha Jeeyar Swamiji came and Sri Lakshmi Ashtotthara puja was performed to the Nacchiyars.

18th Feb Evening: The majestic Lord was taken on Gaja Vahana while Nachiyars were taken on Hamsa vahana with vayyari nadakalu followed by Edurkolu uthsavam under the supervision of Devanattha Jeeyar Swamiji, Yajnachary Sriman Phani read the ‘lagna pathrika’ on behalf of the Lord and consorts

19th Feb Morning: Kalyanam of Lord was grandly celebrated.

19th Feb Evening: Garuda Vahana seva was performed in the streets of Mandasa. Each and every house welcomed the Lord with lamps and harathi.

20th Feb Morning: Ponna tree seva was performed and Sri Venkateswara Ashtotthara puja was performed.

20th Feb Evening: At 4pm Tepothsavam was performed in Gopala Sagaram. Sriman Taraka Rao, Sriman Venkata Rao sang beautiful songs filling the hearts of devotees with joy. The devotees forgot themselves and danced in front of the Lord.Lord was taken in a procession on Aswa Vahana along with his consorts. While in procession Thirumangai alwar dopidi uthsavam was conducted captivating the hearts of devotees.On Mula nakshathram, Vasudeva Perumal’s 8th thirunakshathram was celebrated grandly.

21st Feb Morning: Ratthothsavam went on till 1 pm followed by Avabhrutha snanam in Gopala Sagaram under aeigs of HH Devanattha Jeeyar Swamiji.

21st Feb Evening: Sri Pushpa Yagam, dwadasi aradhana and maha kumbha prokshana was performed and the holy water was sprinkled on the devotees. 12 types of prasadams were distributed to all.

22nd Feb Morning: Abhishekam was performed with 81 kalasas to relieve the Lord from his fatigue and was decorated with dazzling ornaments. The bewitching Lord storle the hearts of the devotees with His beauty.

22nd Feb Evening: Saptha varna – 7 pradakshinas of the Lord around the temple was performed followed by pavalimpa seva concluding the 8th Annual Bramhothsavams. May Lord Vasudeva bless all the devotees who participated in person or otherwise.
