Varija Asram became a victim of the Hudhud cyclone. Nethra School – school for the blind took the hit in the cyclone. Whenever there is a rain, water is seeping into the classrooms, hostel rooms as well as the dining room. Students are going through hardships and classes are being disrupted.
Repairs have started with the funds raised by VT Seva. The solar panels are now fixed. Connecting them to the net grid is in progress. Grouting is being done to repair the seepages in the roofs. The estimate of completing the repairs is 2 weeks.
